Wild. Funky. Juicy. Wizardry! These were some of the adjectives used to describe the goal for this poster and sticker series for LA/NYC based DJ’s AHARAW and STRYKER MATTHEWS.
The conceptual backing for the project drew from old-english fairytales, sourcing energy from colorful, whimsical vignettes of far off imaginary lands. Old blackletter typography was dissected and rebuilt as abstract architecture for the posters and their settings. Color was then used in an near-neon application to align with the aesthetics of the DJ club scene.
